  1. Open QuickBooks on your computer to add your bank account.

  2. Sign in using your admin credentials and go to the Employees menu.

  3. Click the My Payroll service option and select Activate Direct Deposit.

  4. Tap Get Started or click I’m the admin, and I’m the primary person who can….

  5. Enter the admin’s user ID or email address and tap Continue.

  6. Click Sign in after entering your user ID and password for your Intuit account.

  7. Tap Get Started and navigate to the Business tab.

  8. Click Start and tap Next after filling in the info.

  9. Enter the principal officer’s info and click Next.

  10. Click the Add new bank account option.

  11. Enter your bank name, account number and the credentials you use for online banking.

  12. Create a new PIN, which will be used whenever you send the payroll.

  13. Confirm the PIN you entered and click Submit.

  14. Tap Next and click Accept and Submit.

  15. Confirm your principal officer's full social security number if prompted and tap Submit.

  • Your bank account is connected- This message indicates that you can pay your employees through direct deposit after adding your employee’s bank account info.

  • Thank you for signing up for QuickBooks bank deposits- This message indicates that you need to verify your bank account in the software before sending the employee payroll using direct deposit.
